KLa Project

KLa Project is an Indonesian music group formed by Katon Bagaskara, Lilo (Romulo Radjadin), Adi Adrian, and Ari Burhani in 1988. KLa name itself derived from the initials of the band, while the use of the letter "A" small aims to indicate the two personnel who have the initials letters.

KLa formed by Katon, Lilo, Adi, and Ari in 1988 in the area of ​​Tebet, Jakarta. They released their first album "KLa" in 1989 which scored hits such as Range Asmara, About Us, Radicals, and my song. In 1991, KLa launched his second album titled "Second" where there is a monumental song Yogyakarta. While third album (White Sand - 1992) they scored hits such as Not My Heart and Soul Mates.

Although it was the music KLa Project ahead of his time, because the music is still popular with Malay rhythm, they managed to steal the hearts of many music listeners. They also have a fan base who call themselves KLanis.

After the release of her third album, Ari Burhani out and switch roles as band manager. KLa then walked with the formation of three people and incubate two albums, Purple (1994) and V (1995). In 1996, KLa Project acoustic grand concert titled KLakustik involving the supporting musicians such as Hendri Lamiri (Violin), Budi Haryono (Drums), and others. This concert was held at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta which was broadcast by the quiz, which they recorded live and released as a record album 2 vols.

In March 2001, Lilo's turn coming out of the band. However KLa keep going despite leaving only Katon and Adi. Later in 2003, KLa decided to add three new personnel, namely Erwin Prasetya ex Dewa 19, Yoel Vai and Goro Day. Their name was changed to NuKLa. NuKLa has issued one album in 2004, titled "New Chapter" with the single Let Me Praise.

In 2006, Erwin Prasetya NuKLa decided to quit because of differences in vision. Shortly after that, Bob Marley stated that NuKLa changed its name back to KLa Project. One reason is the difficulty of changing the image of the old into the new KLa.

In early 2009, KLa did a reunion with the release of the album marked KLa Returns which consists of three members of their beginning: Katon, Lilo, and Adi.

Some members of KLa Project is also a solo career. Katon has released six albums, Adi scored two albums, one album and a new Lilo. In 2010, they re-launched the album entitled Exelentia and championed single titled Life Is a Choice with 2 additional players. On November 8, 2011, KLa Project re-released the album titled A Tribute To KLa Project by featuring singers and bands involved in the album like Purple, Ahmad Dhani, Kerispatih, Maliq & D'Essentials, Vidi Aldiano, Pongki Barata, RAN , Babas, Violet, and The Upstairs.
